Ranking System

We have created a unique method for handling ranks, which we have refined over the years (through trial and error, as determined by member feedback) into the dual-category point system described here. Members earn rank promotions by accumulating a predefined number of points to reach each next rank (see list of ranks). Points are awarded to individual members by Commanding Officers for certain activities which we feel promote the clan's values and growth on the whole.

Point-eligible activities usually have a range for the number of points that may be awarded, where members earn more for exceptional work, as judged by a Commanding Officer. Activities are posted and updated on a private area of our forum, but they range from writing news articles to participating in scrimmages and winning matches.

We distinguish between the creative community and competitive gaming aspects of the clan by distributing points in two categories (fittingly referred to as "community" and "gaming" points). Point earnings in the two categories contribute in combination to a member's progress; however, because both of these aspects together make up the clan, each category must contribute no less than one third of the points required for a member to reach a promotion.
